This is a hybrid in the literal sense — 700C road-bike wheels for efficient pavement riding, a cushioned seat and upright-friendly geometry borrowed from city bikes, and dual disc brakes that give it more stopping confidence than a typical entry-level road bike. The built-in IPX4-rated front light is a small but genuinely useful touch for anyone commuting at dawn or dusk.
One detailed review calls it "premium quality, budget price" after extensive comparison shopping, which tracks with the rest of the feedback — the main friction point buyers report is assembly: the bike ships about 85% built, and a couple of reviewers found the included instructions didn't perfectly match what arrived in the box.
Pros
- Dual disc brakes at a price point where rim brakes are more common
- Built-in front light — genuinely useful for commuting, not just a bullet point
- 700C wheels roll efficiently for pavement commuting and longer rides
- Reviewers specifically call out the value relative to the price
Cons
- No suspension — best suited to pavement and light gravel, not trails
- Some assembly instructions don't perfectly match the parts in the box
What buyers say
I have done a lot of homework on bikes over the years and here is my assessment of the Viribus and why it is an excellent value for the money. The Viribus Hybrid Bike distinguishes itself from typical department-store bicycles through a combination of structural integrity, precision machining, and component quality rarely found in this price range. For discerning buyers familiar with bicycle construction, this bike represents a significant step up in both engineering and durability. 1. Sealed Bearing Headset with Machined Head Tube. One of the most impressive features is the sealed bearing hea
The description said the bike was 86% assembled, so I knew I'd have some work to do once it arrived, but the photos that were in the instruction manual were a bit difficult to make out because the angles were so poor, I did manage to put it completely together after a couple of hours, but I had to subtract a half star for that. Then there's the cheap plastic bicycle bell that came with the bike. I got it on, but the bit that's supposed to hold the screw in place split nearly all the way open, necessitating the ordering of a metal replacement bell. I'm not impressed. Subtract another half star.
Really great recreational bike. Was light and easy to manage. My wife very happy with bike. Easy to assemble too. Researched a lot- this is very good value for money.
Possibly the worst bike I have ever owned. After assembling the bike, I noticed a clicking sound coming from the rear wheel. I contacted customer service and was sent a video on how to adjust the rear derailleur. After several attempts I had no success, the clicking was still there. I contacted customer service again. This time I was sent a new derailleur. I installed the derailleur and followed the video again. Again, no success. I took the bike to a local bike shop and had yet another derailleur installed. It worked fine for a couple of days then clicking returned. So, for the last month and
